Simon Power (born 14 February 1958) is an English composer & sound designer, best known for his work on the BBC's Classic Novelisation range of ''Doctor Who'' audiobooks.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.meonsound.com/doctor_who/ )〕 == Career == Between the late 1980s and mid-1990s, Power produced a number of tracks and remixes under a variety of names including Atomix, Marine Boy, Angel Deluxe. He had chart success as Powerhouse when On the Floor〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=The Official Charts Company - Simon Power (composer) )〕 (Champion Records) reached no.80 in the official UK charts. During the mid-1990s he worked with Future Publishing's ''Future Music'' magazine, producing a series of cover mounted sample CDs called ''Bite Size Beats 'n' Samples'' and ''The Ultimate Sample Collection''.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.discogs.com/Various-The-Ultimate-Sample-Collection/release/2797316 )〕 From the mid 1990s to 2004, Power worked as an engineer and senior audio editor at BBC Audiobooks. As well as post production on a variety of BBC Sci-Fi related audio releases (Doctor Who, Blakes 7, Sarah Jane Adventures), Power also produces music that features in radio and TV ads, games and feature films around the world, predominantly under two pseudonyms, Elliot Simons and Dream Valley Music. As Elliot Simons, he has 7 entries on IMDb. 4 as composer, 2 as Music Department & 1 as soundtrack.
